Preparing for Your Session
At Raul Medina Photography, we aim to make your session enjoyable and stress-free, ensuring that we capture the essence of what makes your moment special. Here's how to prepare for your upcoming photography session:
- CONSULTATION
-
Consultations are important to understanding our customers’ needs, visions, and goals for the project ahead. We want you to be happy with your experience from start to finish, so learning more about you, your family, team, or event is crucial for us be prepared on picture day. Let us know your ideas or let us share ours! This is the time you ask questions, we learn more about your needs, and possibly share some ideas and suggestions with you!
- CHOOSE YOUR LOCATION
-
Location, location, location! Finding the perfect spot to take pictures can be challenging. Maybe you know the perfect place - we would love to meet you there! If you don’t know locations and want suggestions, we can find the perfect spot for you and your photography needs. It is important to remember that any location over 20 miles from our home office will have an additional charge. However, some accommodations can be made so be sure to tell us all your plans in your initial consultation.
- PLAN YOUR OUTFIT
-
Whether it’s a family portrait, senior sessions, or sportraits, it’s important to plan what you’re wearing. We suggest you wear outfits and/or accessories that make you feel confident and comfortable. Family sessions should not match exactly, but have a complimentary style to each member. Seniors should be prepared to showcase their best moments, so whatever they want to be represented by (sports, academics, clubs, activities ,etc.) then bring something to showcase this. Sportraits are a vibe and representing your team(s) is what’s up! Let’s have some fun and find ways to show you are the MVP! Whatever the occasion, let it represent you!
- BRING THE NECESSITIES
-
Photo sessions take time and sometimes the wind blows! Make sure you have any toiletry items you may need to assist in your perfect look. This includes a brush, makeup, mirror, hairspray - you name it! Many people like to include personal trinkets or props in their photos, so make a list before your appointment day to ensure you include all the items you may need.
- STAY IN THE MOMENT
-
We aim to make this experience as fun and enjoyable as possible for each one of our clients. Your sessions capture a moment in time, so come ready to show the joy and spirit of your life! These memories can be cherished by friends and family for years to come. Let’s make the best of your moments together!
- EAT, DRINK & REST
-
Being the model in photos may be harder than you might think! Some sessions will take extended periods of time depending on a variety of factors such as outfit changes, number of subjects included in photos, weather, props, etc. It’s important that you feel well rested and have eaten before coming to your shoot. You want the experience to be enjoyable, fun and relaxed as possible. This way the best version of you will shine through the lens!
